Former CEO of Calgary Flames Ron Bremner - Axioms of Leadership, Finding Opportunity in Crisis, Taking Time for Yourself
Show Notes

Ron Bremner has been a nationally renowned and respected leader for more than 40 years. He started his career in broadcasting joining the top rated CKNW/CFMI team and moving up the ranks to President/General Manager. He then took the reins of BCTV as President/CEO and led his team to record profits each year.

In 1996, Ron accepted the challenging role of President/CEO of the NHL's Calgary Flames and the Saddledome facility. Season tickets and the Canadian dollar were both at an all-time low. Within 5 years, under Ron’s leadership, both the business and hockey operations of the organization were completely rebuilt.

Since leaving the Flames, Ron has held the CEO role at Professional Sports Publishing, Insight Sports Broadcasting, and Unisync. He launched Gold Medal Consulting Group in 2002 where he coaches and mentors high-profile Canadian Executives across Canada. Ron was elected into the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame in 2000 and was named BC’s Broadcaster of the Year in 1996.
